ACCREDITATION
Southwest Texas Junior College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 3003-4097: Telephone number 404-679-4501) to award the Associate of Arts in General Studies, Associate of Arts in Teaching, Associate of Applied Science degrees, and certificates. Southwest Texas Junior College is also approved by the Texas Education Agency and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
MEMBERSHIPS
The college holds membership in the Texas Association of Community Colleges, the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the American Association of Community Colleges, and the American Council on Education.
