This website is not the website you will be using for the class.  You will only be accessing this website for the first week of class.  This website is for information only. Most of the SWTJC online or distance learning classes will be held using the SWTJC's Portal or Moodle format.  Moodle is Internet based software application that are specifically designed to deliver courseware on the World Wide Web.  Our class will be using SWTJC's Moodle.  Our class is at http://moodle.swtjc.edu/. You login to your Moodle classroom with your SWTJC WebAdvisor user name for your User Name [such as for John Henery Doe: jhdoe or jhdoe3048], use your birth date as your password [written as mmddyy, such as:  070488 for July 4 1988, the password must be six digits].  To find your Web advisor login name go to the SWTJC Home Page and select Web Advisor on the left menu list. On the Web Advisor welcome page click on Students. On the Current Students page select the What's my User ID link in the User Account section to receive your login name. If you need to help identifying your Web Advisor login name, you can email me or contact the computer help desk at 830-591-7323.

!!!The database manager for SWTJC's Moodle is loading your login information to the database and not everyone will be able to log in to SWTJC's Moodle!!!

 1.0  Read the Online Orientation (this will take several hours).  Please read Topics 1 through 7 in the orientation.

 2.0  Make your self known to the class.

2.1  Contact me.  E-mail me following the instructions from Topic 1 of the Orientation.  You can do this before the class starts or during the first week of class.

2.2  Upload these same answers to the Posting Introduction assignment in our Moodle class.  Do this during the first week of class.

2.3  Answer the questions for the Introduction in the Discussion forum.  These questions are not the same ones as for 2.1 and 2.2.  The answers should not contain any personal information.

 3.0  After you are able to login at SWTJC's Moodle, review the class page for assignments and class information.

3.1  During the semester you will be creating Web pages for the Paradise Mountain Family Resort.

3.2  You will also create another Web site

3.2.1  You can create your own Web site following the instructions from each Unit's Independent Challenge 4.  This must be a new Web site, submitting your current or old Web site is a no no.

3.2.2  You can create the Web pages for the Resort's Spa using the instructions from each Unit's Skills review.
