Enrollment update

Dean of Admissions and Student Services Joe Barker updates
faculty and staff in Eagle Pass on the record enrollment of 6,293 students this fall at SWTJC. Barker's comments came during the Dean's Forum held in Eagle Pass on Sept. 28.

Canseco for Congress

State candidate

Parade prizes

The SWTJC float  won prizes in both Uvalde and Hondo in September.

Constitution Day

9-11 memorial

Students watch a video recapping the tragic events of 9-11,
during a memorial ceremony held Friday, Sept. 10, in Uvalde. Following the video, SWTJC student Rosie Arellano played taps and a moment of silence was observed. The ceremony was staged by the Catholic Club.

Math tutoring

Labor Day celebration

Top parade entry


The SWTJC entry in the parade (below) won best youth entry in the Uvalde Labor Day Weekend Festival. The festival raised $5,000 for the Los Palominos Scholarship Fund at SWTJC.
